Performing at Cafe Sør in Oslo as part of the Sunday World concert series
On February 26, I performed in a concert at Cafe Sør in Oslo. This concert was part of the Samspill International Music Network’s Sunday World series. It was a beautiful evening, full of musical fusion and cultural exchange.
The Dynamic Duo: Issa & Anija
Over the years, I have collaborated with flute player Anija M. Wormsen on many musical projects. But, we performed as a duo with original music at this event. Our repertoire included a variety of pieces, ranging from «Sunflower,» «El Encanto,» «El Amanecer,» «Buena Suerte,» and several others. Furthermore, the audience liked our performance, and we enjoyed playing for them.
The Atmosphere in the concert at Cafe Sør
We could feel the excitement building up as soon as we arrived at Cafe Sør. The venue was packed, and the audience was eagerly waiting for the concert to start. We quickly set up our instruments and did a sound check to ensure everything was perfect.
Once we started playing, there was positive energy in the room. Indeed, the audience was responsive, clapping and cheering after each piece. They appreciated the fusion of sounds we brought to the stage. As a result, the Atmosphere was filled with joy, excitement, and appreciation for the music.
The Importance of Cultural Exchange
Samspill International Music Network is doing important work by bringing together musicians from different backgrounds and cultures. Then, this concert series provides a platform for musicians to share their music with others and learn from each other. It also helps to promote cultural exchange and understanding.
As musicians, we are responsible for using music for unity and cultural exchange. This concert was a perfect example of how music can unite people, regardless of their cultural backgrounds.
Conclusion
Lastly, the concert at Cafe Sør was an unforgettable experience. It was pleasant to perform with Anija as a duo. Additionally, the friendly Atmosphere at the venue helped us to feel at ease and connect with the audience. Furthermore, the positive response from the audience was a great motivator for us. Also, I am grateful to the Samspill International Music Network because it provides a platform for musicians to share music and promote cultural exchange. And we were honored to be a part of it.
